6″ Skywatcher classic Dobsonian Telescope
No interest. No account fees. No late fees.
The Sky-Watcher Dobsonian Telescope 153mm/1200mm (6″) telescopes have a parabolic primary mirror to eliminate spherical aberration and a four-arm, secondary- mirror bracket with fine supports (0.5mm thick), to reduce diffraction spikes and light loss. In addition, this model includes a 2″ focuser with a 1.25″ adapter, allowing the use of either eyepiece size. This model also includes the new feature-tension control handle.
With its larger aperture and longer focal length than the Kson 4″ tabletop , this scope is at its best with the bright planets (Jupiter, Saturn, Venus & Mars) Bright nebulae, Galaxies, Star clusters and more. It has the same easy set up as the 102mm Kson but sits on the ground rather than on a table. A larger Aperture (mirror size) means more light gathered, giving a more detailed image of fainter objects.
It is a great choice where the very portable telescope is not as important as the larger aperture of the 150mm. It is the economical choice where your budget will not quite stretch to the 8″ dobsonian.
